If you’re looking for fibre broadband that’s lightening fast, then look no further than Trooli.
As a local, Kent-based independent provider of ultrafast fibre broadband, Trooli is only currently available in the South of England. And those who are fortunate enough to be able to get broadband from Trooli will benefit from the sheer speed of FTTP (fibre to the premises) broadband.
FTTP broadband is broadband where the line is fibre optic from the exchange all the way to your home, instead of just some of that distance. The benefit of this is that you’ll get a reliable connection that’s low on lag and won’t decrease in speed during peak periods. You will also enjoy considerably higher speeds than typical fibre optic broadband, where the line is only partially fibre optic.
At the moment, Trooli offers three packages for their ultrafast broadband. These are:
The numbers speak for themselves, and even the most affordable Trooli Broadband package is over 4x faster than the standard fibre optic broadband connection speed of around 70Mbps. The speeds offered by Trooli are in line with the top-end packages from the biggest companies such as Virgin Media and BT. And the upload speeds are equally as impressive, making Trooli an excellent choice for those who need good quality video calling, or who wish to host servers for streams.
All three packages offered by Trooli have a contract length of 18 months and have unlimited downloads so there is no cap or limit at all. Unlimited downloads means that you can use the internet to your heart's content and not have to worry about a high usage bill at the end of the month.
Trooli Broadband customers will not be able to use their own router. The broadband only works with the Trooli Premium Hub 2 router, which comes free as part of their ultrafast broadband package. The Trooli Premium Hub 2 is dual band with Wi-Fi 6 standards so will be more than suitable for the majority of people’s needs and will be good for years to come.
Unlike the majority of broadband providers out there, when you sign up to Trooli you don’t need to have a phone line if you don’t want one. This is because the FTTP connection doesn't make use of the existing landline. If you do prefer to make calls from your home phone, then you can choose between the following three call packages:
As with all home phone packages, with Trooli you will get access a range of features including the ability to divert calls, three-way calling, ring back, reminder call and many more. These are all billed separately though so if you use a lot of calling features you may wish to use a provider that specialises in call plans and can offer them as part of a package or bundle deal.
At the moment, Trooli is only available in select pockets across the South of England in the counties of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, East Anglia, East Sussex, Hampshire and Kent. At the moment they cover over 200,000 premises and they have plans to connect over 1 million premises by the end of 2024. So Trooli could be coming to you soon.
If you’ve been a Trooli customer in the past then getting connected with them again is simple, and you won’t need to pay the installation fees again. The best way to check to see if you are eligible for any current Trooli Broadband deals is to contact them by email or by phone.
Because the ultrafast broadband offered by Trooli is FTTP, it requires a more complicated setup than other providers, so an engineer will need to visit in order to connect the fibre optic cables from the street to your home.
New cables will need to be run, but Trooli aim to keep all wiring as close to the original equipment installed by Openreach as possible. Despite the setup being more complicated, current customers found it to be a quick and painless procedure.
Note that the nature of the installation means that it can incur additional charges, which may increase depending on the complexity of the installation. For example, if you wish to move the current location of your broadband router.
A unique thing about Trooli is the fact that their customer services is as local as they are. The Trooli customer service team is in Kent. It’s difficult to compare Trooli’s customer service with the other broadband giants, because they are a small provider and therefore are not included in the Ofcom customer service reports. There is no shortage of glowing reviews online for the customer service at Trooli though.
There are loads of great things about Trooli Broadband, but the best thing is you benefit from the following:
So there you have it. If you live in the South of the country and are looking for the fastest and most reliable fibre broadband around then Trooli is probably going to be your best option. With their cheapest package being more than 4x faster than the standard fibre speed in the average home, it's going to be noticebly better than anything you're ever had before.
The disadvantage of this is the extra cost that comes with it, but if you want or need to have a FTTP connection then you can take advantage of any Trooli broadband deal on this page with complete peace of mind due to their highly-rated, locally based customer service team.
